Right now (June 2020), no Art Directors are getting postcards due to Covid-19 and working from home. Many of them are looking for postcard posts on social media, however, so take advantage of that!
When you do go to mailing postcards, an immediately visible image is best. Often, an opaque envelope will be considered unsolicited mail and won’t even be opened. This has especially been the case since the whole Anthrax mailing attacks in NY shortly after 9-11.
But what if you don’t want to design the back of your card to USPS mailing standards? My trick? Clear envelopes.

You can affix the labels and stamp to the sleeve and the image is still visible to the art director so it won’t be trashed.
Additionally, you can add swag, like stickers! These are for my Weirdness Sticker Club: https://www.patreon.com/kazweirdness

I get the sleeves from Amazon, but you can also get them at clearbags.com.
